Dessert Therapy Expands Beyond Desserts with Launch of New Café-Style Outlet in Mumbai

Mumbai, April 2, 2026: Dessert Therapy, one of Mumbai’s most popular premium dessert brands, has entered a new phase of growth with the launch of Dessert Therapy Kitchen in Oshiwara. The new outlet marks the brand’s sixth location in the city and introduces, for the first time, a full café-style food menu alongside its signature desserts and beverages.

Founded in 2016 as a small home kitchen with an initial investment of just ₹10,000, Dessert Therapy has steadily built a loyal customer base across Mumbai. Since opening its first physical outlet in 2020, the brand has expanded to Malad, Juhu, Bandra, Fort and Ghatkopar. With the opening of Dessert Therapy Kitchen, the company is now positioning itself as more than just a dessert destination.

The newly launched Oshiwara outlet is the largest in the brand’s portfolio and has been designed to offer a complete dine-in experience. Moving beyond its dessert-first identity, Dessert Therapy Kitchen introduces a carefully curated menu of globally inspired café-style dishes that encourage guests to spend more time and enjoy a relaxed dining experience.

The new menu features a range of small plates, including peri peri crispy potatoes and burrata with muhammara and charred corn salsa. Guests can also choose from hearty mains such as caramelised onion rigatoni, truffle butter spaghetti with mushrooms, and house ramen with miso broth and tofu.

To add more variety, the outlet also offers hand-held options like four cheese sandwiches, Mexican wraps and avocado toasts. The food menu is complemented by an extensive beverage selection featuring cappuccinos, hazelnut lattes, Biscoff frappes, tiramisu lattes and strawberry cheesecake shakes.

According to the company, the expanded menu has been designed to pair seamlessly with its signature desserts and create a more immersive café experience.

Speaking on the launch, Harsh Shah, Co-founder of Dessert Therapy, said the brand was always intended to be more than a quick-stop dessert outlet.

“From day one, we’ve focused on creating a space where people can slow down, connect, and truly enjoy the moment. With Dessert Therapy Kitchen, we’re extending that experience by introducing food that complements our desserts and beverages, allowing guests to stay longer and enjoy a more complete form of dining,” he said.

Dessert Therapy was founded by Harsh Shah and Nisarg Shah and is regarded as Mumbai’s first pure-vegetarian premium dessert-dining chain. Over the years, the brand has gained recognition for combining presentation, ambience and flavour into an experience-led concept.

Industry observers believe the launch of Dessert Therapy Kitchen reflects a broader trend in Mumbai’s hospitality sector, where dessert brands are increasingly evolving into full-fledged café and dining formats to cater to changing customer preferences.

With its larger format, expanded menu and focus on comfort-driven dining, Dessert Therapy Kitchen appears set to strengthen the brand’s presence in Mumbai’s competitive food and beverage market.
