प्रयागराज, उत्तर प्रदेश में आयोजित होने वाले महाकुंभ मेला 2025 को इस बार केवल आध्यात्मिक नहीं, बल्कि तकनीकी दृष्टिकोण से भी ऐतिहासिक बनाने की तैयारी है। अनुमानित 45 करोड़ श्रद्धालुओं की उपस्थिति को ध्यान में रखते हुए, योगी आदित्यनाथ सरकार ने कुंभ के प्रबंधन और सुरक्षा को नए स्तर पर पहुंचाने के लिए डिजिटल तकनीकों और आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) का सहारा लिया है।

एआई-आधारित भीड़ प्रबंधन और सुरक्षा उपाय

पहली बार, महाकुंभ मेले में आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस तकनीक का उपयोग भीड़ नियंत्रण और सुरक्षा को बेहतर बनाने के लिए किया जाएगा। एसएसपी महाकुंभ मेला, राजेश द्विवेदी ने बताया कि मेले के पूरे क्षेत्र में 2700 सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगाए जा रहे हैं, जिनमें से 328 एआई-समर्थित कैमरे हैं। ये कैमरे भीड़ पर 24/7 निगरानी रखेंगे और अपने फीड के आधार पर स्वचालित अलर्ट भेजेंगे।

“एआई मानव खुफिया जानकारी को बढ़ावा देगा,” उन्होंने कहा। इसके साथ ही, मेले के क्षेत्र में 25 पुलिस स्टेशन पहले से ही सक्रिय हैं, और कुल 56 पुलिस स्टेशन स्थापित किए जाएंगे ताकि सुरक्षा को और मजबूत किया जा सके।

डिजिटल खोया-पाया केंद्र

इस बार की प्रमुख विशेषताओं में से एक है डिजिटल ‘खोया-पाया केंद्र’, जो 1 दिसंबर 2024 से शुरू होगा। यदि कोई तीर्थयात्री मेले के दौरान अपने प्रियजनों से बिछड़ जाता है, तो इस केंद्र पर उसकी जानकारी डिजिटल रूप से दर्ज की जाएगी। इसके बाद फेस रिकग्निशन तकनीक की मदद से एआई कैमरे गुमशुदा व्यक्ति की तलाश शुरू कर देंगे।

इसके अलावा, गुमशुदा व्यक्तियों की जानकारी फेसबुक और एक्स (पूर्व में ट्विटर) जैसे सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर साझा की जाएगी, जिससे उन्हें जल्दी से खोजने में मदद मिलेगी।

भीड़ नियंत्रण के लिए परीक्षण तकनीक

चार प्रमुख स्थानों पर पहले ही इन एआई कैमरों का परीक्षण किया जा चुका है। ये अत्याधुनिक कैमरे मेले में भारी भीड़ की निगरानी करेंगे और किसी भी अप्रत्याशित गतिविधि पर तुरंत अलर्ट भेजेंगे।

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Maha Kumbh Mela, Rajesh Dwivedi, shared that around 2,700 CCTV cameras are being installed across the mela premises, including 328 AI-enabled cameras. “AI will complement human intelligence,” said SSP Dwivedi. He further added that 25 police stations are already operational in the area, with plans to establish a total of 56 stations to manage the influx of pilgrims effectively.

A major innovation this year is the introduction of a digital ‘Lost-and-Found Center’ starting December 1, 2024. Pilgrims who lose contact with their loved ones can report the missing persons at these centers, where the details will be digitally registered. Using facial recognition technology, AI cameras will begin searching for the missing individuals among the massive crowd, streamlining the process significantly.

Additionally, platforms like Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) will be utilized to share details of missing individuals, enabling faster reunions and providing immediate assistance to families in distress.

Tested Technology for Crowd Control

The deployment of AI-enabled cameras has already been tested at four key locations within the mela grounds. These cameras will work round-the-clock to monitor crowd movements, detect any anomalies, and ensure swift actions are taken in case of emergencies.
