Call for a Rename of Sacred Rituals at 2025 Kumbh Mela
Dukanji, Prominent social worker, has issued a statement calling for a change in the terminology used for certain rituals during the 2025 Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. The suggestion is to replace the terms “Shahi Snan” (Royal Bath) and “Peshwai” (Procession) with “Akhada Rajasi Snan” (Royal Bath of the Akhara) and “Akhada Rajasi Shobha Yatra” (Royal Procession of the Akhara), respectively.
