झारखंड: ब्राजीलियन महिला के साथ गैंगरेप मामले में और पांच गिरफ्तार

दुमका, झारखंड: 1 मार्च को झारखंड के दुमका जिले में एक 28 वर्षीय ब्राजीली पर्यटक के साथ गैंगरेप का मामला सामने आया है। महिला का कहना है कि उसे एक कुटिल तलवार दिखा कर धमकाया गया, उसे मारा गया और सात आदमियों ने उससे बलात्कार किया। इस दुर्दांत घटना के बारे में जानकारी के आधार पर पुलिस ने एफआईआर दर्ज की है।
महिला ने कहा है कि पूरे घटनाक्रम का समय लगभग दो और आध घंटे था। इस घटना का स्थान यहाँ था जब महिला और उसके संगी ने मुख्य सड़क से लगभग एक किलोमीटर दूर वन्यप्रदेशी हिल स्थल में टेंट लगाया था। उसका बयान 2 मार्च को समुदाय स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में 2:05 बजे दर्ज किया गया था, और एफआईआर आईपीसी की धारा 376डी (गैंगरेप) और 395 (डकैटी) के तहत दर्ज की गई थी।
एफआईआर के अनुसार, पहले तीन आदमी उसके पति के साथ झगड़ा करने लगे और फिर उसे मारकर उसके हाथ बांध दिए। इसके बाद, चार और लोगों ने कहा कि वहें उसको “मुझे एक कुटिल तलवार दिखा कर” कर्फ्यूस तरीके से उठा लिया। उसका आरोप है कि उसे ज़मीन पर गिराया गया, उस पर कूदा, मुक्का मारा गया और सातों आदमियों ने उससे बलात्कार किया। “सभी लोग थोड़े-बहुत मद्यपी होते दिखे। यह घटना लगभग शाम 7:30 बजे से रात 10 बजे तक हुई,” इस आरोप को उसके बयान में शामिल किया गया है।
जोड़ा दुनियाभर की यात्रा पर था और पिछले साल जुलाई में पाकिस्तान से भारत में प्रवेश किया था। आरोप के दो सप्ताह पहले, वे श्रीलंका में थोड़ी देर के लिए रुके थे। एफआईआर में इस घटना से पहले की घटनाओं की विस्तृत बयानियाँ शामिल हैं, जिसमें जोड़े का कहना है कि उन्होंने अपने टेंट के आस-पास गुंजाहट की आवाजें सुनी और सात व्यक्तियों को देखा।
पहले पुलिस ने मामले में तीन संदिग्धों को हिरासत में लिया था।
दुमका के सुपरिंटेंडेंट ऑफ पुलिस पिताम्बर सिंह खेरवार ने कहा, “सभी आठ आरोपी हिरासत में हैं। हमारे पास इनके खिलाफ सभी साक्षात्कार हैं और हम इसके खिलाफ चार्जशीट दाखिल करेंगे और अदालत से त्वरित न्याय की मांग करेंगे। सभी आरोपी 18-25 वर्ष के बीच हैं।”
यह घटना उत्तरदाता के साथ एक बाइकिं यात्रा पर थी जब वह और उसका संगी दुमका जिले में थे। उन्होंने रात्रि को टेंट लगाने का निर्णय लिया और मार्च 1 की रात वहां हुआ गैंगरेप की घटना की ।
पीड़िता और उसके साथी ने मदद के लिए एक पैट्रोल वाहन को नींद के बाद में रुका। भाषा की बाधा ने शुरूवात में संवाद को कठिन बना दिया, क्योंकि महिला ने बातचीत के लिए आंग्रेजी और स्पैनिश भाषा में बोल रही थी।
दुमका के SP खेरवार ने बताया, “आरंभ में पैट्रोलिंग पार्टी ने घटना की बहुत सी बातें समझ नहीं पाई क्योंकि महिला आंग्रेजी और स्पैनिश भाषा में बोल रही थी। उन्हें एक नजदीकी स्वास्थ्य केंद्र ले जाया गया। फिर डॉक्टर्स ने पुलिस को सूचित किया कि महिला का रेप किया गया है।”
यह घटना पर्यटकों, विशेषकर महिलाओं की सुरक्षा और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए मजबूत कदमों की जरूरत को दिखाती है और अपराधियों के खिलाफ शीघ्र और कठोर कानूनी कदमों की आवश्यकता है।

A Spanish travel vlogger, accompanied by her partner, was reportedly sexually assaulted by seven men in Jharkhand’s Dumka on March 1. The survivor, in her police complaint, disclosed that she was threatened with a dagger, physically assaulted, and raped during the two-and-a-half-hour ordeal. The incident occurred when the couple had set up a tent in a forested hilly area, approximately one kilometer from the main road.
The survivor’s statement, recorded at 2:05 am on March 2 at a community health center, resulted in the filing of an FIR under IPC sections 376D (gangrape) and 395 (dacoity). According to the FIR, the assault began with three men quarreling with the survivor’s husband, eventually assaulting and tying him up. Subsequently, the remaining four men allegedly kidnapped the survivor at knifepoint, subjected her to physical abuse, and repeatedly raped her. The survivor noted that the perpetrators appeared to be slightly intoxicated during the incident, which transpired between 7:30 pm and 10 pm.
The couple, on a world tour on motorbikes, entered India in mid-July last year from Pakistan. Two weeks prior to the assault, they re-entered India after a brief stay in Sri Lanka. The FIR describes the events leading up to the assault, detailing how the couple heard suspicious voices around their tent and encountered seven individuals approaching them. The assailants, speaking in the local language and some English, reportedly stole various belongings, including a Swiss knife, wristwatch, rings, earpods, and money.
After the assault, the couple sought assistance from a night patrolling party of Hansdiha police, who took them to a community health center for medical treatment. The police subsequently arrested all the accused, as announced in a press conference in Dumka. The survivor and her husband left the state on Tuesday.

In a significant development, the Jharkhand Police arrested five additional suspects on Tuesday in connection with the brutal gangrape of a 28-year-old Brazilian tourist in the Dumka district. The heinous crime occurred on the night of March 1 when the woman was on a biking trip with her partner. This comes after the initial arrest of three suspects in the case.
Confirming the latest arrests, Dumka Superintendent of Police, Pitamber Singh Kherwar, stated, “All the eight accused have been arrested. We have all the evidence against them and will file a chargesheet and request a speedy trial from the court. All the accused are between 18-25 years old.”
The victim and her partner were en route to Bhagalpur via Dumka when they decided to halt for the night and set up a tent. Tragically, on the night of March 1, the woman was allegedly gangraped. The couple, seeking help, stopped a patrolling vehicle around midnight. The language barrier initially complicated communication, as the woman spoke partly in English and partly in Spanish.
Dumka SP Kherwar explained, “Initially, the patrolling party did not understand much of the incident because the woman was speaking partly in English and partly in Spanish. They were taken to a nearby health center. The doctors then informed the police that the woman had been raped.”
The incident sheds light on the urgent need for robust measures to ensure the safety and security of tourists, especially women, and highlights the imperative for swift and stringent legal actions against the perpetrators. Authorities are expected to proceed with the investigation, ensuring justice for the survivor and setting a precedent against such heinous crimes.
